Movie Review - Singh Vs. Kaur

Nihal (Gippy Grewal), an easy going glib liar, a daring rogue who enjoys playing pranks on people, though it irks everyone around. To get rid of the unwanted nuisance, the panchayat instructs his mother to cease his activities and threatens her to outcast them both otherwise. To nullify the gravity of the situation, Nihal decides to befriend the sarpanch's niece, Sapna, who mistakes his effort for friendship as his affection towards her. His hope for any improvement is shattered when the sarpanch (Avtar Gill) brings up the idea of his marriage with Sapna. As an escape trick, he builds up another lie of being already in a relationship with someone else. To worsen the situation, Sapna becomes suicidal and the villagers, after somehow saving her life, turn back to Nihal to confront him. To back him up, his friend Tari (Binnu Dhillon), adds to the lies by showing them a picture of a arbitrary girl Jasneet (Surveen Chawla), which controls the situation momentarily. As an obligation to his mother's request of saving family's dignity, Nihal, running out of options, is forced by entanglement of his own lies, to go to Canada, find that girl and bring her to the village as a proof. He continues to weave his web of lies around everyone including the girl recently brought into the picture. He Somehow manages to bring her to India though he knows that he has to surpass the previous mount of lies built to limit the consequences. Arrival of the girl, unintentional falling in love with her, unfolding of lies, commence the battle "Singh v/s Kaur".

Movie review: Zila Ghaziabad

It is unlikely that there has ever been, or ever will be, a movie quite like Zila Ghaziabad – it is supposedly inspired by real-life incidents and characters and is yet bereft of any semblance of authenticity. Must have taken some doing!

The film unleashes such a merciless, ceaseless and mindless onslaught on the senses and the eardrums that it could actually put the assault rifles of the most trigger-happy of crime lords in the shade.

Zila Ghaziabad is a professed reenactment of the violent gang wars that shook parts of Ghaziabad in the 1990s.
However, director Anand Kumar does not demonstrate the slightest regard for either realism or rationality.

3-yr-old UK girl has an IQ higher than physicist Stephen Hawking

A three-year-old girl in UK has become one of the youngest ever members of Mensa with an IQ estimated to be even higher than physicist Stephen Hawking. Alice Amos scored an incredible 162 in a test of the high IQ society Mensa - matching some of the world's most notable
intellectuals.

The toddler, from Guildford, Surrey, is already bilingual, speaking both English and Russian, where her parents are from, the 'Daily Mail' reported.

Alice's advanced intellect means she is one of the "top one per cent", matching that of Hawking, who has never officially revealed his IQ, but which is estimated to be between 160 and 165.

Alice's score means she is only one of 18 pre-school members of the society.

She already spends her spare time reading Aesop's fables and other fairytales, also enjoying singing, dancing, painting, crafts and reading.

"We are delighted that Alice has joined the society," CEO of British Mensa, John Stevenage, said.

"At Mensa we aim to provide a positive environment for gifted children as they develop and hope they will benefit from interaction with other bright children," said Stevenage.

Alice was admitted to Mensa after her parents submitted a report by British psychologist Professor Joan Freeman.  She scored 162 on the Stanford Binet test - an IQ quiz that looks to measure five factors of cognitive ability - fluid reasoning, knowledge, quantitative reasoning, visual-spatial processing, and working memory.

Her IQ of 162 ranks her higher than a list of greatest luminaries.
