BSF seizes heroin worth Rs 95 crore at Indo-Pak border
The heroin weighing 19 kilograms was seized in the Khemkaran sector.
Sources said BSF personnel also seized fake currency worth Rs 5 lakh.
It has been reported that the drug peddlers were using a 10-feet-long pipe to throw the heroin from across the border.

Preeti Puri all set to start family next year
Mumbai: On the professional front, television actress Preeti Puri is trying comedy for the first time in ‘Aaj Ki Housewife Hai Sab Jaanti Hai’ -- and in personal life, she is gearing up to experience motherhood.In her nine-year-old acting journey so far, the actress has been part of TV shows such as ‘Kasautii Zindagi Kay’, ‘Kyunkii... Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ and ‘Kahiin To Hoga’, among others.
Married to Vipin Choudhary, head of operations at Sunshine Productions, Preeti told reporters: "Next year I would plan a baby. I will complete three years of marriage... there is family pressure now. I will complete one year of my show (`Aaj Ki Housewife...`) as well and even they know that next year I would be planning a baby."
Talking about her stint with comedy in Zee TV`s show "Aaj Ki Housewife Hai Sab Jaanti Hai", she said comedy didn`t come easy to her.
Priyanka Chopra’s staff member dies in LA; no financial assistance to bring body back
Los Angeles: One of Priyanka Chopra’s assistant, Jiban Patra, had died almost a week back in Los Angeles, where the actor had been shooting with an entourage recently.However, the 41-year-old staff member’s body is still lying in a mortuary there and no attempts have been made so far to bring his body back to India.
Patra was found dead in a hotel in Los Angeles on April 7. A case of unnatural death has been registered by the Los Angeles Police Department.
Apparently, the police have given a nod to fly the body to India.

Pran did a mix of villainous and positive roles in the late 40s and early 50s, but he got noticed for his role as a villain in films like Ziddi and Badi Behan. The South West District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum noted that due to loss of baggage, the man had to purchase at huge cost articles of daily use for the duration of his and his wife's stay in Milan and is entitled to be compensated.
"We find that the bag was lost and complainant remained without the articles of their use which they had to purchase in a foreign country and thus complainant and his wife were compelled to spend a huge amount on the purchase of such articles.
Roshni Chopra wants to host dance reality show next
Mumbai: After hosting ‘Comedy Circus Ka Naya Daur’, ‘Comedy Circus Teen Ka Tadka’ and ‘India`s Got Talent’, now Roshni Chopra is eyeing a dance show."Anchoring is my first love. I should be back on `Comedy Circus` soon. Reality programming has grown by leaps and bounds. I would like to anchor a dance show next because I love dance," Roshni told reporters.
However, the winner of reality show ‘Desi Girl’ has no plans to participate in any such programme.
"That (participating) would be too intense. When I participate in a reality show, I get oriented towards winning. It is too early to dedicate myself 100 percent to a competition... may be next year," she said.
Apart from hosting, Roshni has worked in fiction-based dramas ‘Kasamh Se’ and ‘Pyaar Mein Twist’.
She won`t mind doing another one and added: "I have never had that mindset that I have to always play the lead. The role has to interest me. It does not matter if it is the lead or not. It should make a mark."
‘Ek Thi Daayan’ gets U/A certificate
New Delhi: Ekta Kapoor’s supernatural thriller ‘EK Thi Daayan’ – which has been making headlines for its issues with the National Commission for Women - is apparently the first horror movie to get a U/A rating from the Central Board of Film Certification.While rumours were rife that the multi-starrer would likely be limited to an adult audience, the Censor Board`s decision has established the fact that the thriller-horror genre is popular with youngsters as well.
Directed by Kannan Iyer, ‘Ek Thi Daayan’ – which stars Emraan Hashmi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kalki Koechlin and Huma Qureshi – narrates the story of a magician whose life falls apart because of his persistent hallucinations. He is put through regression hypnosis to put an end to his troubles but a frightening story of a daayan, who destroyed his family from his childhood, returns to haunt him.

No saas-bahu drama in `Anamika`: Simran Kaur
"I want to tell you that we are not making a family drama, just for the record. I am entering the family, but that doesn`t mean there will be `sasumaa` and `bahu` drama. It will be all exciting and entertaining," Simran said here Monday on the sets of the show.
Simran plays a witch on the show and will enter the male lead Jeet`s (Mudit Nayar) life by possessing the body of Rano (Annie Gill), who is now married to Jeet.
‘Anamika’ premiered Nov 26 last year on Sony TV. Simran says a lot of people will be able to relate to the track.
"It has happened with a lot of people, many people will be able to relate to it. It has happened in my extended family," she said.
