Sunny Leone voted as the most dangerous celebrity in cyberspace!

So far we have heard actresses’ earning the tags of hottest, sexiest or most beautiful, but looks like porn star-turned-Bollywood actor Sunny Leone begs to differ in this aspect as well.

Believe it or not, but Leone has emerged as the most dangerous celebrity in cyberspace, ahead of Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor. And the reason behind this is that searching for her on the web is the riskiest, as you never know what you come across.

In a study conducted by McAfee, Leone topped the list with 9.95 percent chances of luring people into clicking on malicious links. Meanwhile, Katrina, who was the most risky celeb in 2011, held the second spot this year with 8.25 percentile. She was followed by Kareena Kapoor, with 6.67 per cent possibility of making users fall into a trap of malware laden websites.

Priyanka Chopra and Bipasha Basu rounded off the top five with 6.5 per cent and 5.58 percent respectively.

Others who featured in the list are Vidya Balan, Deepika Padukone and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Poonam Pandey. Salman Khan, at the eighth position, was the only male star in the top ten. Well, we hope this makes Leone happy!

1920-Evil Returns is a love story, horror is its backdrop, says Aftab Shivdasani!

The upcoming horror flick of Aftab Shivdasani and Tia Bajpai 1920-Evil Returns has already become the talks of town. The movie seems to be a full package with all the love moments it has, the scenic background, uplifting music, action and horror.

It has already created an impact on the viewers. This Vikram Bhatt film has everything a horror flick should have as compared to other movies of horror genre.

Aftab said, “Exactly the point. In fact this is one thing that I have been saying right through the film's promotion that both Vikram Bhatt and Bhushan Patel believe in lending a soul to the film. None of them is interested in creating horror just as a gimmick or bringing in thrills so that there are scares and chills. Instead, there is a definite story that has been woven around where horror is just an added spice.”

“I would again reiterate that this is a love story at the core of it all with a backdrop of horror. When you get up from your seat after watching the film, one thing that you are going to remember most is the story more than anything else,” he added.

It seems that the actor is in full mood this time to give a tough call to the other actors in town. Well, the final verdict would be out as the film hits the screen on November 2!

We used to bully Kundan a lot during Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, says Om Puri!

Many might not know that with a shoestring budget, every day of the shoot was a struggle for Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro team but everyone managed to complete the film, which has earned the cult status over the years. Actor Om Puri says he has some of the best memories of working in the 1983 satire classic and bullying its director Kundan Shah.

For those unaware, the film which is being re-released by NFDC and PVR cinemas after a gap of 29 years on November 2 had some of the best theatre and film artistes like Naseeruddin Shah, Ravi Baswani, Satish Kaushik, Pankaj Kapur, Satish Shah, Neena Gupta and Puri.

Puri, who played corrupt builder Ahuja, recalls how they sailed through despite budget problems by sleeping on the floor and eating lauki ki sabzi and dal every day. The Mahabharat scene of the film is almost as famous as the movie itself and Puri recalls how he convinced Shah to let him wear his character`s trademark black glasses.

"We used to bully Kundan a lot. I remember during the Mahabharat scene I am wearing goggles. Kundan was not happy. He said, ‘What is this? You are wearing goggles in Mahabharat scene’. I said, ‘Relax Kundan, look at the situation. We are hitting everyone that goes backstage and change into their clothes. I forgot to remove my glasses’. Finally, he let it be and that’s how my goggles remained in the scene."

Americans brace for Sandy; Obama declares emergency

New York: Millions of Americans in the country's heavily populated East Coast barricaded themselves in to brace up for Hurricane Sandy that will bring 11 feet waves that forecasters say will slam cities like New York, Boston and New Jersey.

Authorities declared a state of emergency from North Carolina to Connecticut as the superstorm made its way up the Atlantic on a collision course with two other weather systems, that could turn it into one of the most deadly storms to hit US.

The superstorm Sandy has plunged the final week of electioneering into chaos, with President Barack Obama and his Republican rival Mitt Romney cancelling and rescheduling their rallies in critical battleground states.

Warning that the megastorm could make landfall by late Monday or Tuesday morning, the forecasters said it could wreak havoc over 1,300 kms of eastern coastline to the Great Lakes.

Airlines cancelled more than 7,600 flights from Europe and Asia and began suspending train services across the north east. New York, which forecasters warned could bear the brunt of the superstorm and Philadelphia shut down their subways.

Iraq's al Qaeda claims responsibility for deadly Eid attacks

Baghdad: An al Qaeda group in Iraq on Monday claimed responsibility for a series of deadly bomb and gunfire attacks across Iraq during the Eid al-Adha holiday, reported Xinhua.

The self-styled Islamic State of Iraq (ISI), the al Qaeda front in the country, confirmed in a statement posted on an Islamic website that the attacks "have conveyed a quick message" to the Shia government and its followers that they will pay a high price and will not enjoy peace unless they stop random arrests against the Sunni community.

It said the security forces of the Shia government "have carried out recently a series of immoral and cowardly acts to arrest Sunni women to force their wanted relatives to turn themselves in, or blackmail their parents by fabricating charges against them".

"Such acts have increased recently, including arresting women from certain clans in south of Baghdad," the statement said.

The authenticity of the statement could not be immediately verified.

So far some 42 people have been killed and 122 wounded in the recent wave of insurgent attacks across the country over the four-day Eid al-Adha holiday.

Such deadly attacks are apparent attempts by the insurgent groups to stir up sectarian strife among Iraqis to push the country to the brink of a civil war, amid persistent political divisions that have already paralyzed the country's government.

Sourav Ganguly quits all forms of cricket

Four years after he announced his retirement from International cricket, former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly has called it quits from all levels of the game, deciding not to play in the IPL as well.

The former India opener had continued playing first-class cricket for Bengal so as to keep in shape for his franchise Pune Warriors but after last year's debacle, Ganguly has at last decided against it.

"I will be almost 41 by the time IPL-6 ends. Twenty20 is a very demanding format. It would have been very tough for the body," Ganguly said.

The left-hander also said he had made his intention clear to Pune's officials during the last edition itself.

"To captain in IPL, there is a lot of responsibility. You are answerable to many questions. It's better to captain the country. At least, nobody would phone you and ask what went wrong," he said.

"I had a wonderful time playing in the IPL for five seasons. It gave me a chance to keep playing top-class cricket even after quitting international cricket. But I can't go on forever, and I have requested the franchise owners not to consider me for IPL-6."

‘Rush’ Review: The makers rushed to finish the film!

The world loves Emraan Hashmi. In spite of his ordinary looks, mediocre acting talent and lack of any quintessential Hindi film hero’s charisma, Hashmi is relatable and Hashmi’s films, time and again, have hit the bull’s eye.

But I’d be surprised if ‘Rush’- Emraan’s latest offering, makes any sort of mark anywhere. The man, who rose from doing some poor remakes of Hollywood thrillers and surprised everyone around with smart and affable performances in ‘The Dirty Picture’ and ‘Shanghai’, fails to save this sinking ship.

The story is of crime reporter Samar Grover (Emraan Hashmi), who is offered the job of Editor-in-chief in a rival channel by media tycoon Lisa Kapoor (Neha Dhupia). The channel, owned by India’s richest man Roger Khanna ( a lean and botoxed Aditya Pancholi), focuses solely on crime reports. Being belittled by his present boss, Samar, or Sam as everyone calls him, grabs the job and the perks that come along with it, even though his ‘cynical’ live-in girlfriend Ahana (Sagarika Ghatge) isn’t quite sure why he has been chosen for the job.

Things initially look all gung-ho at the new place for Samar. He gets a BMW, a penthouse, takes his girlfriend on a vacation and even gets naughty with the office hottie on a drunken night. But on one night when a former colleague warns him about the misdeeds his channel is involved in, Sam finds himself miserably trapped in a web where he realises that in order to be in the race for breaking news, news is created and lives are jeopardized on a daily basis.

Now, let’s be honest. The story of an ambitious young man getting trapped in a maze of criminal activities has been shown on silver screen many-a-times. Some have worked (‘Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman’) and some haven’t (‘Blood Money’); and ‘Rush’ clearly falls in the latter category. The plot is slack, with too many loose ends, and abstract editing makes the film appear distorted, almost like it was finished in a rush. Songs appear out of nowhere and don’t even leave an impact unlike other Emraan Hashmi films.

Haryana girl poisoned by parents for marrying classmate

Panipat: In an apparent case of dishonour killing in Haryana, parents allegedly killed their daughter for marrying her classmate who belonged to another caste.

According to CNN-IBN, the victim, Indu, who was second-year BBA student, had dared to marry her friend Ajay Rohil against her family’s wishes. Indu's parents thereafter had convinced her in-laws to let her go home with them after the wedding. But on Saturday, Ajay came to know that Indu had died and was being cremated in haste.

Later, police arrested seven people, including Indu's parents, in this case.

Ajay was quoted by CNN-IBN as saying: "They (Indu’s parents) poisoned my wife and killed her on October 26. We called the police and they said they were sending a PCR van in 10 minutes but it never arrived. They started beating us up when we tried stopping them to get the post-mortem done”.

Zee News sends defamation notice of Rs 150 cr to Naveen Jindal

New Delhi: In a strong reply to Naveen Jindal and JSPL’S press conference on October 25, 2012 where he had alleged wrongdoing on the part of Zee News, Zee News Limited on Saturday has sent a defamation notice to the tune of Rs 150 crore against Mr Naveen Jindal and JSPL.

Zee News has condemned and completely rejected the doctored evidence produced by Jindal. Zee News sees this as a deliberate attempt to malign the trustworthy Television Network.

Zee News has granted a three-day time period to Mr Naveen Jindal to withdraw all his unsubstantiated and defamatory allegations against Zee News, failing which Mr Jindal would face civil and criminal actions initiated by Zee News.

Zee News has always been the forerunner in exposing Naveen Jindal’s double standard as a politician and industrialist in Coalgate scam. Zee News clearly understands that it is to suppress the coverage that Zee News was telecasting on Coalgate, that the Corporate Communications team from JSPL first tried to bribe Samir Ahluwalia with Rs 25 cr, which he declined straightway, and later was offered a Rs 100 crore advertising deal to stop the coverage of Coalgate scam.

Zee News today and in the past has always been in pursuit of seeking truth in the Coalgate scam, and has had several interactions with Jindal and his officials. We accuse Jindal and JSPL of maligning the name of Zee News since they chose to display an edited / doctored CD where only selected portions were shown. Mr Jindal has a history of unfairly targeting those who dare to confront him with the truth.

Attempts by right thinking media houses including Zee News to bring out the truth in the Rs 1.86 lakh crore Coalgate scam are being muzzled by Mr Naveen Jindal by distorting the truth and defaming those on the righteous path. Even the CAG has listed Naveen Jindal promoted JSPL as the primary beneficiary in the Coalgate scam.

We are of the view that similar false allegations have been made by Naveen Jindal and his officials against Zee News in a police complaint and we see it as subversion of the due process of law. Clearly, we see this as an attempt to prejudice and defame us and to overreach the investigation in this regard and have hence sent a defamation notice to JSPL and Mr Naveen Jindal.

Zee News is undeterred by such diversionary tactics adopted by Jindal and JSPL and would stay focused on unraveling the ultimate truth in the Rs 1.86 lacs crore Coalgate scam and has only taken this route to counter the allegations made.

I went through emotional struggle to reach where I am today, says Sonakshi Sinha!

After making smashing debut opposite Salman Khan in Dabangg, Sonakshi Sinha tickled our funny bones with Akshay Kumar in Rowdy Rathore which stormed the Box-office. And now forgetting the flop-show of Joker (again with Akshay) Sona is gearing up for her next Son of Sardaar with Ajay Devgn.

However, despite making non-stop success at the box-office, Sona’s heavy figure and looks has been talk of the town and she has been often criticized for it or taken dig at.

Asked how she takes criticism, Sonakshi tells, "I am very open to criticism. I get it every day," she continues in same vein, "It actually depends upon person to person. Any person in my position who faces so much criticism for looking a certain way would have crumbled by now. I am a very strong person. I believe in working hard and giving my best."

"Nobody is anybody to criticize me for the way I look. I have worked hard to reach this position. I know what kind of emotional struggle I went through so nobody has the right to comment on it. Nobody can raise fingers on me. And I am doing the kind of films that don't require me to be size zero. They don't require me too wear certain kind of clothes. So I am very comfortable and happy with it," she adds.

We definitely love your spirit girl. Son of Sardaar also starring Sanjay Dutt is set to hit the screens on November 13!

Aamir not competing with Ajay, Salman's cop portrayals in 'Talaash'

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, who plays a policeman's role in his upcoming film Talaash, says that he doesn't want to compete with Ajay Devgn, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar who have also played such roles in films earlier.

"I don't want to compete with anyone. Ajay, Salman and Akshay have
been cops earlier but this is very different. My character is struggling with his past. This is not an out and out entertainer, but I liked it," he said at the music launch of the film held Thursday.

The actor has given many super hits like 3 Idiots and Taare Zameen Par but says that he doesn't let the pressure of his earlier performances get to him.

Govt probe against Gadkari an eyewash: Kejriwal

New Delhi: India Against Corruption (IAC) activist-turned-politician Arvind Kejriwal on Friday rejected the Income Tax (I-T) Department’s probe against Nitin Gadkari, terming it as an ‘eyewash’, while the national media continues to make fresh revelations against the BJP chief.

Kejriwal, who had exposed the alleged financial irregularities in Gadkari’s firm Purti Power and Sugar Ltd and its investor companies, tweeted, "Co Affairs, IT Dept probing Gadkari? Govt - IT det wud submit report in a month. IT Act has no provision for such a probe. Govt fooling ppl? Under I-T Act - u can raid (sec 132) or survey (sec 133A) or scrutinize (sec 143) - wat is govt doing? (sic)"

The IAC activist, also a former Income-Tax officer, further tweeted, “Will I-T find anything if it raids or surveys? Raids conducted in secrecy. This is how CBI conducts raids after grand announcements. Are all these probes merely an eyewash? Time will tell. It wud further prove - Cong BJP bhai bhai."

Kejriwal blamed Congress and the BJP for being hand-in-gloves in big ticket corruption cases and said that the two are sailing in the same boat.

Reaction from Kejriwal came a day after both the Income Tax Department and the Ministry of Company Affairs began separate inquiries into Gadkari's firm and its financial dealings with 26 investor companies.

Clean chit to Vadra, Haryana govt to probe Khemka?

New Delhi: UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra has been given a clean chit in connection with his land deals with the reality major, the DLF group, by a probe panel in Haryana.

Reports, Friday, said that a panel of four Deputy Commissioners, which probed the case, found no irregularities in Vadra's land deals in Haryana.

The four-member panel began probing the case following an order issued by IAS officer Ashok Khemka on October 12.

Interestingly, the Haryana government did not implement Khemka's order cancelling the mutation of DLF-Vadra land deal. It merely referred Khemka's order to a probe panel, which literally put up a hurdle into the whistleblower officer's order to probe the dubious land deals involving Vadra.

While the clean chit given to Vadra by the senior Haryana government officials have come as a big relief to the Gandhi family, it has evoked sharp response from India Against Corruption (IAC) activist-turned-politician Arvind Kejriwal.

Darr was the biggest thing that happened to me, states Juhi Chawla!

It was very early in her career after Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak that actress Juhi Chawla got the chance to work with late filmmaker Yashji in Chandni (1989). Though it was a cameo appearance, but it gave her the opportunity to work with Mr. Chopra for the first time.

Later she went on to do Aaina in 1993 in his production house, but the big opportunity came up as Darr. “When I signed Darr (1993), it was the biggest thing that happened to me. The film took me to my career’s peak, as it was a big deal then, as it is even today, to be a Yash Chopra heroine. He was the only one who presented his heroines well and gave them an equal platform alongside the heroes.

“Working with him in Darr was an overwhelming experience. Yashji was always warm and friendly. He put me at my ease, but still I found it hard to express myself before him. His focus was on his work and he was quick about it. I never heard him shout at anyone. Recently, I met him at Amitabh Bachchan saab’s party and he was joking with me. Whenever we met he was always affectionate towards me,” remembers Juhi.

Going by her words, it is obvious that Juhi too is badly affected with the loss of such a great filmmaker. Definitely no words can explain the sadness your death has caused to your loved ones, Yash Ji. RIP!

Pregnancy from rape God 'intended': GOP candidate

Washington: Another Republican lawmaker has sparked off controversy with his bizarre remarks on rape, saying when a woman becomes pregnant during a rape, ‘that's something God intended.’

The outrageous remark became a headache for the former Massachusetts governor and US presidential Republican candidate Mitt Romney as Richard Mourdock set off a political firestorm during the end of a Senate debate with Democratic challenger Joe Donnelly in response to whether he believes abortion should be allowed in the case of rape or incest.

He reportedly said, “I struggled with it myself for a long time, but I came to realize that life is that gift from God. And, I think, even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that it is something that God intended to happen.”

The project involves development of a centralised user friendly information handling system to gather data about anti-corruption activities around the world and process them into information useful to all stakeholders.

The CVC will provide the infrastructure, facilities and secretariat services to the task force which would function from the Commission's office here. "A fully functional knowledge management facility is expected to be set up within a year," Kumar said.
