RGV gets legal notice from Kuber's owner
Ram Gopal Varma's latest film The Attacks of 26/11 which is geared up for release today, has ventured into troubled waters. The owner of the boat 'Kuber' that was used in the heinous crime has served a legal notice to Ram Gopal Varma, the director of the film. Hiralal Masani sent the legal notice to him saying that the registration of Kuber was made at Porbandar port and that the director of the film used the name and registration number without permission.
The Attacks of 26/11 is based on the Mumbai terror attacks of November 2008 and it shows 10 terrorists hijacking Kuber in the high seas to reach Mumbai. The owner of the boat said, that it was only yesterday when he found out that the film had made use of the name 'Kuber' and its registration number. In the notice, he declares that showing the Kuber boat in the film will tarnish the owner's reputation, and as a result the film should not be released.
