Sequel to 'No Smoking' on John Abraham's mind
In 2007 when Anurag Kashyap’s neo noir ‘No Smoking’ hit the theatres, the film was panned for being “way ahead of its time”. The psychological thriller had elements of surrealism and a dark and unusual storyline which had then left viewers and critics baffled. The film starred John Abraham as the protagonist. However, if reports are to be believed, we might soon be able to see a sequel to ‘No Smoking’.
Director Anurag Kashyap is all eager to take the story forward from where ‘No Smoking’ had ended. From what he had tweeted some time back, Kashyap wants to utilize the sequel to tie the loose ends that the first film had left open. “I really want to do a sequel to ‘No Smoking’, and with John Abraham and he does too…” tweeted Kashyap.
When contacted, John Abraham too expressed his desire to be a part of the sequel to ‘No Smoking’. Says the actor, “I would like to do ‘No Smoking 2’, but Anurag is busy with ‘Bombay Velvet’ at the moment. There is nothing concrete as of now but we would love to take the story forward.”
Now that both the actor and the director are hugely interested in ‘No Smoking 2’, seems like it’s just a matter of time before another concept film comes to cinema lovers!
